WELCOME TO PARADISE

Krishna Sanctuary - A slice of paradise

Nestled in a sheltered fertile valley in Takahue, a 20 minute drive south of Kaitaia in the far north of New Zealand, spectacular Krishna Sanctuary is a food forest in the making. With over 400 fruit and nut trees planted since 2020, Krishna Sanctuary is an attraction for all including a variety of bird-life and unfortunately, some pests too.

Krishna Sanctuary is completely off-the-grid, using solar panels and batteries for its electricity needs. There is also a lovely stream meandering directly from the mountain through the middle of the property, providing an abundant water supply. Nature's gift of a powerful water source has also enabled a small hydro-electric system on the property to supplement the electricity supply.

Visit us for inspiration to move your life from:

- extravagant to essential
- haggard to healthy
- chaos to calm
- confusion to clarity, and
- knowledge of things to knowledge of the self

Krishna Sanctuary offers a number of interesting options for you to experience making your visit well worth your time and effort. Besides, make sure to say hello to our two super friendly grandmother house cows when you are here.

Enjoy a slice of the beautiful rural Far North.

I first had the pleasure to meet Abhay & Jayanti approximately 2 years ago. While camping in my van just up from their property, Abhay happened by. He took a genuine interest in my situation and kindly invited me to share a meal with them both that night.

"Wow", what a tasty heart-warming meal they cooked. A lovely time of wholesome food & enjoyable conversation. It was so good I've returned more times than I can count. I've also brought friends along to meet this lovely couple & enjoy their graciousness & more often than not their delicious cooking. My friends have been in awe of their inspiring orchards and gardens.

What big hearts they both have. This is more than apparent through their sharing and caring within their community and further afield.

It is a joy to know them both and I regard them as friends, who I am lucky to have in my life.
